Working closely with the owner, contractor, and a logistics team, in eight months we transformed this aircraft maintenance hangar into a welcoming and collaborative work environment for an international aircraft-interiors design-build company.

Remodel and Addition to a mid-century home in Terrell Hills, Tx. The addition compliments the original roof line at the front while responding to the two oak trees in back by orienting the living spaces around them. The construction team was led by the owners, whose attention to detail is seen in the ipe rainscreen front facade, book-matched walnut cabinetry, and clever custom wine racks.

Built on a 1,800 sf lot, this 1,100 sf two-bed/two-bath house has a 700sf footprint, yet remains spacious with great views of downtown San Antonio and volumes of daylight pouring into the loft-like living space.

Drawing inspiration from the simple shed-roof back buildings and stables in the historic district, this 325 sf guesthouse also incorporates a potting breezeway and storage shed. Structural Insulated Panels were used for the project to expedite construction and decrease energy consumption with a tight thermal envelope.
I work with clients to develop paint schemes that rejuvenate the exterior appearance by speaking to the lifestyle of the owner(s) and the context of the neighborhood.

Drawing inspiration from Folk Victorian form of the existing 1896 one-bedroom house, a Master Barn was added; connected to the historic house by a daylight-filled dining porch that has become the heart of the house.
